A Special Note From Jaz

Taneisha, thank you for sharing but most of all thank you for being you! We met some time ago and you were an intricate instrument that God used to help propel me into my future so whether you know it or not I thank you so much for being brave, courageous and transparent enough to not only share your journey and testimony here on this podcast show but to just allow us all to watch God birth His purpose for you, through you! It’s amazing and so are you! This past year and a half or so since I’ve known you have been a whirlwind but I am proud of you for staying strong, staying the course and just seeing things through. You are a go-getter and a dream chaser and I love and admire that about you. There is one part of your book that I just came across and I believe it was fitting to mention here because it is indeed very true, in the letter from your baby girl on page 119, she says, “You confirmed your own prophecy. That’s why you named me Royalty because God knew I was fit for a Queen. I only came as a messenger to remind you of who God perceives you to be.”
.
I just want to encourage you and remind you to never forget who He created you to be Queen. You were made for this and you know there’s so much more in store for you! This is just the beginning. Thank you for being our guest. God Bless You!

What is the challenge you faced before God pressed the reset button?

“I felt like God gave me plenty of opportunities where He was trying to press buttons to reset me but I would go back and do what I wanted to do I would go do what’s best for me. I became pregnant.
.
I was living in Atlanta, I had my own business. I was thriving, I was living life! I loved life I loved God and I got pregnant outside of marriage. I wasn’t living fully in my purpose into the degree that God wanted me to.
.
God moved me back to Chicago. I was pretty much in a Job season. I lost everything. I lost my boyfriend, which I didn’t need him anyways, which I learned through the process. I lost everything. I came back to Chicago with a suitcase.
.
God said, “I’m sending you back because your family needs you.”
.
However, my baby was dealing with a lot of health issues and she wasn’t developing properly. I couldn’t quite understand why God was sending me back to Chicago to help my family. My family and I were not even in a place of unity at the time. I really didn’t understand.
.
More than anything I hear from God and I heard from God at that moment. I’m a child who obeys and I know I didn’t use to obey all the time but I knew I had to obey at that moment.
.
So I came back to Chicago and that actually reset my journey, my whole entire life!
.
Coming here and going through that pregnancy, I made the decision to surrender to God, to submit everything to God, to yield to God, to walk in the will that God has for my life.
.
So I started to redevelop my relationship with God, redesign my relationship with God and get to know God for who He truly was.
.
I started to learn I only saw God in certain aspects of my life. In the past I knew God to be a healer, He healed me from Fibromyalgia and Lupus. I knew Him to be a provider. I knew Him to be a Father to a certain extent, to show me love and things of that nature. When I needed something I would go to Him and He would answer me. To be a comforter more than anything.
.
I came back and I needed God for everything. I needed Him for a miracle for my baby. I needed Him for a miracle for myself. I needed Him for a miracle for my family. I needed Him for a miracle for Chicago and everything else.
.
God whatever it is that you want me to do I’ll do it. My life is yours,  my child is yours, my purpose is yours, my decisions are yours and I just began to change who I was with the help of the Lord. My seriousness in regards to my relationship with God.
.
That led to me giving birth to a beautiful baby girl. I went into labor at 8 1/2 months pregnant. My pregnancy was nothing that the doctors said it would be. Ultimately two hours after I had my baby I did lose my baby.
.
What happened in that time of me grieving and me still walking in my ministry and walking in my purpose, all along everything that I was dealing with in life at the moment, God was there. God was showing me directing me to people to minister words to say to people and things of that nature.
.
I begin to really walk in that power of God at that time.
.
When I had my baby and I lost her, God told me to write a book. I think that’s when things shifted even more and my journey was being reset and just from there things have been just able to take off into an extreme which I would have never been able to see had I not been following God.”
.

What obstacle did you overcome/testimony? What was the pivotal moment in your life thus far that changed everything?

“When I found out I was pregnant in October 2015. I was working two jobs at the time and just put in a two weeks notice at one of the jobs I was working at and I was living an hour and a half from my other job.

I was living in Atlanta at the time and my boyfriend and I lived together and we had our own place.  The relationship just began to be very chaotic, very dysfunctional.

He always wanted to argue with me. We would always argue with each other. The things that were going on with him begin to go with me like his anger, his aggression. I started to show the same things. I wasn’t this type of person.

I said this is not cool. When I found out I was pregnant, I said things are going to have to change.

I wanted to wait for everything (moving in, having sex, etc.) and he proposed to me and I said no. Thank God!

My car broke down the same day I found out I was pregnant. I came back from off of vacation I left my car with my boyfriend. My car broke down. He didn’t take care of it so I couldn’t get back and forth to work that was an hour and a half away, so I had to take time off.’

God kept pressing on me like, ‘Go Home. Go home with your family.’

So I came home. I left and I remember being [in Chicago] for a month and a half and God was really talking to me and I knew then that I shouldn’t have been with him and I needed to move back home.

After him saying he’s changed and that the Lord is working on him, you know you want to give it another shot. I don’t want to have this baby and be so far away from my child’s father so let’s try and work through it.

Before I went to the doctor’s appointment and I found out something was wrong with my baby. (Her appointment was in Atlanta, but she was in Chicago still)

Within less than 24 hours of me coming back he “put his hands on me and called me out of my name.”

It triggered in my mind that this relationship is over, you need to pack your bags it’s time to go pack a bag, get what you need and go back to Chicago. You need to get out!”

How has that shown you the path God has prepared for your life? Steps along your journey.

“Through my pregnancy and moving forward two of the things that I’ve held on to and have pretty much been the foundation of my life is ‘walking by faith and not by sight’ and ‘it is better to obey God than to sacrifice.’
.
I live a life full of obedience and I live a life truly walking by and exercising my faith.  I don’t allow and I don’t wait on God to elevate my faith. I’m always seeing and asking God for the help of Him and the Holy Spirit to do those things.
.
So my walk every day has been submission, surrender, yielding to God, focusing on God, listening to the voice of God. I had to even learn on a whole different level how to hear from God, how to see in the Spirit, about demonic activity. I had to learn how to see demons. I had to learn that discernment wasn’t just intuition and it wasn’t just something that I had and an ‘oh I don’t feel right about this.’ THAT’S GOD!
.
I had to really learn and accept that this is God, this is God, THIS IS GOD! I had to learn to see God in ALL things!
.
God just started to show me my purpose and show me what I’m called to, who I’m called to. How to cast demons out, how to walk in the power of God, how to walk in the authority of God. I begin to fast a lot, as I begin to write my book and spend time with God. I spent so much time with God where cut off so many people, so many things.
.
My whole season for a couple of months looked like, waking up in the morning, praying, worshiping God, just expressing myself to God, having quiet time with God and then I would go to walk. Then I would come home and I would do the same thing.
.
Those were the drastic things that I came to do.
.
God started to show me my identity as a daughter of God.
.
One thing is that I kept my mind and my heart focused on God which connected to my faith.”
.

Can you share your favorite scripture?

Jeremiah 1:5 [NIV]
5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew[a] you,
    before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.
.
“That scripture alone just blessed me so much because God blessed me in the time that I needed it the most. He said listen before I put you in your momma’s stomach before I put you here on this earth before I sent you into this world, I had a plan for your life. I had a purpose for your life. I needed you. I created you and I sent you into the womb of your mother with plans with purposes, with a destiny with assignments with an inheritance that you will receive with direction. There will be things that you go through but before I formed you I knew you. That brought so much, a whole nother shift in my heart for love because God showed me at that moment, that I loved you so much. I have a plan for your life no matter where you currently are right now, lost confused or whatever. I have a plan for your life. Whether you feel like I’m around you or not, I know you, I knew you before you came here. I got you. That blessed me so much!
.
Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV)
10 “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Psalm 18:30 (NLT)
 30 “As for God, His way is perfect;
The word of the Lord is proven;
He is a shield to all who trust in Him.
.

What do you do daily to let your light shine?

“My daily prayer to God is Lord use me in whatever way you want to use me as a vessel in anybody’s life. If that is speaking to somebody through the Holy Spirit or praying for somebody or praying for healing for somebody or just praying in my alone time for somebody. A prophetic word, encouragement, words of affirmations, words of love, just a small thing, whether it’s me sowing into their lives financially, mentally, emotionally, business wise.
.
I allow God to lead me by the Spirit more than anything. One of my prayers is, God let your light shine on my face and may you be gracious to me. Hebrews 3 or 4.
.
I have so much love, I’m very energetic. I’m just super happy, super bubbly. I know I have the teacher anointing and the counseling anointing so people always come toward me.”
.

Name (3) things that you would tell your younger self?

  1.  Get to know God for who He truly is.
  2. Never give up on God.
  3. Don’t look to the world and people for what it is that you need from God because those people and the things of the world will never satisfy you because you are looking for what you need in God in other people. You will forever be chasing the wrong thing and leading yourself down the wrong path because you haven’t been following God.

Why do you love you some you? What makes you extraordinary?

“God gave me my baby’s name, Royalty because He wanted me to see that I am a Queen. I am royalty. I am a child of God. I have the righteousness of God. My inheritance is royalty. My inheritance is a royal priesthood. My inheritance is to be like God. I walk in the kingship of who God is.When I began to see that I began to love every flaw that I had. Everything that made me feel that I was different from other people, I began to love that.
.
What makes me extraordinary is because I’m so bold and I’m so loving but I love every part of me! I’ve learned to accept that and allow God to cultivate that in a Godly way.”
